Sew Reporter July Week 3 | Edition 19

What's been happening this week in the world of sewing? I know how busy I get trying to fit everything in each week and I use my time at the weekend to catch up on what's been happening all-things-sewing-wise. This got me thinking that a quick summary of what's going on would be really useful to read with your brunch over the weekend. Save all that searching and scrolling through blog posts, cherry pick what you want to read in the time you have!

Jen at Grainline Studios posts Blog goals: posting finished projects and makes whitewashed cabled socks. At SewCaroline it's Happy Home fabric collection blog hop, plus updates 1 and 2Sewaholic releases Harwood and Nicola patterns in French, Spanish and Dutch and posts planning creative time for small businesses and taking finished project photosDid You Make That? suggests how to sew in chunks of time and makes a fifth pair of Sew Over It trousers. The Little Tailoress makes a Tilda bunny.

At Sew Over It Lisa makes the 1950's Box Pleat skirt and bodice block top from her new book Sew Over It Vintage. 

At Guthrie and Ghani Lauren posts the next instalment in the Summer Dress Season - the super comfy dress (Davie Dress). Discount on the pattern and recommended fabrics.

At The Sewing Directory, Fiona posts how to sew a fascinator with Atelier Millinery and guides on Wadding and sewing machine stitches. This week I also put together a Sewing City Guide to Edinburgh, available to download for free from the Sewing Directory.

Annie at The Village Haberdashery now stocks lakeside pyjamas and maritime shorts by Grainline, Water Land by Jessica Nielsen, and Morning Song by Elizabeth Olwen plus posts your makes, kona matching Rain Walk by Anna Graham and a new tropical shop window.
